Yes mixing it with oils will help. Heating it will help too. Believe it or not it will mix with oil. Your the first to mention any kind of knots. But everyone is different, I have a very sensitive system and I've had things knot me up where no one else had a problem.
When I pin I always use a heating pad, I load my barrel, put my 23g pin on, leave an air pocket. I then roll my barrel in a heating pad and prop it up so the oil won't come out the needle, let sit for about 10 minutes and pin very slowly.
If you mix the suspension with the oil make sure you shake the hell out of it to mix it well before you aspirate the syringe. Then pin, take it slow at least 30 seconds.
